St. John the Evangelist Catholic School invites and welcomes students with neurodivergent abilities. SJE is not a special education school. Rather, we maximize our resources to offer a supportive home to families who seek Catholic education.
St. John the Evangelist has a robust resource education program and we work closely with each family as a Student Support Team for each student in need of assistance. Using a three-tiered approach to inclusion, we are pleased to share our Eagle Prep program with our students.
St. John the Evangelist has a Student Mentor Program which fosters understanding and care of all students. Student Mentors receive training in supporting others with disabilities and differences, and they are given leadership roles within the classroom. Our Student Mentor Program is open to students in 1st-8th grades who want to become positive, empathetic leaders and offer academic and emotional support to peers.
